The Humane Society of Culpeper coordinates transportation of dogs and cats to the Shenandoah Valley
Spay/Neuter Clinic in Harrisonburg, Virginia, at least once per month. Healthy pets over the age
of 8-12 weeks and weighing at least 2 pounds are eligible.
The cost is:
- $35 for male cats
- $50 for female cats
- $55 for male dogs
- $65 for female dogs
Animals 4 months of age and older must have a current
rabies vaccination. This and other vaccinations are
available at the time of surgery for an additional $8 per
shot.
Pets must be pre-registered to participate in the low-cost spay/neuter
program. Preference is given to Culpeper County residents, and slots are
filled on a first-come/first-served basis. All pets must
be dropped off in a secure carrier on the morning of the
clinic and be picked up the next day. If your pet was adopted
from the Humane Society of Culpeper, please bring your spay/neuter certificate.

to keep your appointment, please provide 48 hours notice so that a pet on our waiting list can go instead.
